SOLAR CELL PREPARATION

PV cells are tested, the current and voltage are checked.

TABBING
AND STRINGING

Tabs (flat metal leads) are soldered to contact leads on to each PV cell. Series of tabbed cells are soldered into strings.

MODULE
LAY UP

Strings of cells are layed up in the proper configuration and each string is connected with bus ribbons to form one interconnected solar module.

The thoroughly cleaned module is prepared for lamination with special low-iron glass, EVA and Tevlar layers

LAMINATION

After a pre-lamination testing, the PV laminator bonds the multiple layers of material with thermoplastic films and a vacuum process ensures the complete encapsulation of the photovoltaic materials

FRAMING
AND J-BOXING

After the quality control measures, the PV module laminate is measured and trimmed and an annodized aluminium frame is added and sealed into place.

An electrical connection Junction Box is mounted and sealed to the back of the module

PERFORMANCE
TESTING

PV module is cleaned and set up for testing.

Module is flash tested in a Sun Simulator and all of the performance characteristics are graphed and checked. A high voltage test is conducted

PACKAGING
